GAP is known for associating with generations of culture shapers, and has recently collaborated with
Yash Pradhan, a self-taught graphic designer and illustrator to design limited edition patches and wall mural for the brand.
GAP collaborated with renowned Indian artist Yash Pradhan to create a unique line of patches merch and tote bags featuring his vivid artworks. This exciting collaboration highlights the intersection of art and fashion, bringing together two creative industries in a playful and expressive way. Followers of Yash Pradhan's art will be thrilled to be able to wear his artworks on their clothes and carry them around on tote bags.
GAP launched its first store in Infinity Mall, Malad, Mumbai.
To celebrate this launch GAP hosted an launch event where Guru Randhawa & Lisa Mishra performed
while unveiling this collaboration as well with Yash Pradhan.
The idea is to showcase the design elements in an optimistic, visually interesting, and specific to India.
The illustrations are a mix of Indian culture and fluid design shapes and forms that depicts GAP's core beliefs such as individuality, inclusivity, creativity, simplicity, optimism, and doing good.
The designs include a wide range of composition inspired from Indian arches, rickshaws, Bollywood movies and music, cutting chai and more.
The extend the launch event a DIY tote-bag painting workshop was hosted by Yash Pradhan, as creators from different communities were invited and had the opportunity to connect with the artist himself and witness his creative process come to life.
